Wallet setup · No Meld required

Your wallet,
one step at a time.

Save your account, find your address, and get ready to receive digital dollars. Follow this guide beside Fairground in another tab.

Card and bank checkout is not available yet.

Meld is not set up here yet. For now, transfer native ALGO on the Algorand network from a wallet or service you already use. If you do not have crypto, you will need to obtain ALGO through a provider available to you; EvolveTech cannot take a card payment or create that provider account for you.

This page never asks for a password, backup code or recovery phrase. Enter recovery credentials only in the wallet or Fairground account screen you intend to restore.

Step 1

Save the account before funding it.

  1. Open Fairground. If you are new, finish the welcome screen with Skip and start or choose topics and Start. Fairground creates a local account for you.
  2. Open You → Account and sign-in. You can choose a username and password, or open Show backup code and save the full code in your password manager or another private backup.
  3. Keep that backup where you can recover it after losing this browser. Signing out, clearing site data, or using another browser does not recover an unsaved account.

Step 2

Copy your receiving address.

  1. Open You → Wallet → Transfer crypto I already own. An existing wallet may show Receive instead.
  2. Select ALGO. The screen shows Network: Algorand (mainnet), your Fairground address, a copy button and a QR code.
  3. Copy the address from your own wallet screen. Compare the full address at the sending service before confirming.

Your address is public; it is not your backup code. A Fairground backup code restores your account. A wallet address tells someone where to send funds.

Step 3

Start with ALGO on Algorand.

  1. In your sending wallet or provider, choose Send or Withdraw, select native ALGO, and use the Algorand network.
  2. Paste your Fairground receiving address. Review the amount, withdrawal minimum and fees shown by that provider. No memo is needed to deposit into your own Fairground wallet.
  3. The current Fairground setup screen asks you to allow at least 2 ALGO to arrive after withdrawal fees, giving room for setup, reserve and conversion. Your provider may require more. Choose and confirm the amount yourself.
  4. Keep the Fairground wallet or transfer screen open. After ALGO arrives, Fairground signs the USDC opt-in on your device. Eligible larger ALGO deposits are converted to USDC, keeping a small ALGO reserve.

Setup and conversion are real network transactions. Network and routing fees apply; final conversion uses the available quote. Fairground currently keeps a 0.5-ALGO reserve when converting a larger deposit.

Do not send USDC to a new wallet until it shows USDC ready. USDC on Ethereum, Base, Solana or another network cannot be received at this Algorand address. If your provider does not offer native USDC on Algorand, use native ALGO on Algorand instead.

Step 4

Wait for “USDC ready”.

The transfer screen changes to USDC ready after the wallet can hold native USDC. An enabled wallet can be ready with a zero USDC balance. Only then use the same address to receive native USDC on Algorand, asset ID 31566704.

If setup or conversion reports an error, keep your transaction ID and use Refresh wallet or Retry setup or conversion. A failed conversion can leave ALGO in your wallet; it does not mean the deposit disappeared.

Already have an account?

Restore the same wallet.

On Fairground’s welcome screen choose I already have an account → Backup code, paste the full Fairground backup, then select Restore. If you saved a username and password, use that sign-in option instead.

If you already opened a different account, save its backup before using You → Account and sign-in → Sign out of this device. Then restore the intended account. Compare the receiving address afterward.

A 25-word Algorand recovery phrase belongs in an Algorand wallet such as Pera; it is not a Fairground backup code. Do not paste a recovery phrase into this guide, a search engine, chat, or a public support form.

For project operators

Activate the account that receives donations.

Restore the account that owns the configured receiving address. Opening a new account creates a different wallet and does not activate the existing fund. Follow steps 1–4 while checking that the wallet’s full receiving address matches the configured fund.

EvolveTech’s public donation addressWMQHGXHHWQVUN2VIZQJ5OO2GSH5Q33CVABJUCLJHP4UHLTTMS2HE3W6FEM

This is the shared receiving fund, not an address for visitors to fund their own wallets. Its backup and signing credentials are never published here.

This button makes read-only checks of the public checkout configuration and the fund’s USDC holding. It does not inspect your personal account, sign transactions or send funds.

If a step does not work

I do not own crypto yet.
Meld cannot take a card or bank payment here yet. Obtain ALGO through a provider available to you, reviewing its eligibility, fees and withdrawal options, or wait until in-app checkout is available.
My ALGO arrived but the wallet is not ready.
Confirm the destination and confirmed transfer at your provider. Keep Wallet open and use its refresh/retry controls. The amount arriving must cover account setup and network fees.
I see “USDC ready” but no dollar balance.
Opt-in and conversion are separate. Readiness means the wallet can receive USDC; a conversion may be waiting or may need a retry. Check the ALGO balance and the displayed message before sending more.
The donation recipient is unavailable.
The recipient owner must enable its own wallet. A donor cannot activate someone else’s wallet. The donation button stays gated until that recipient can receive USDC.
I sent a payment but cannot confirm it.
Keep the transaction ID. Check the network, asset, recipient, exact note and amount. Allow the public indexer time to catch up; do not automatically resend a payment whose outcome is uncertain.
